Hello Jon,
A very interesting logical discussion you have brought up. Don’t you know that SEE, PSL and ASL are families of visual communication. However, the total communication and simultaneous communication are almost same formula because of visual and oral communication. TC and ASL do not mix like a non-primary color.

Splendid! You said it all very concisely andd succinctly!
Cool vlog. Interesting analogies and applications.
spendid !!! I agreed with u about ASL and speaking english don’t mix together !!! I had experienced with SEE then sim/com now i am falling into ASL more deeply . I realized that ASL is a true lauguage !
You\’re right people will view different. My vision has little similiar to you vision but different perspective. keep up ur work….
Wow, Jon – you’ve put into a lot of thoughts on this!
It makes a lot of sense!
You’re right – SimCom can be benefical only temporarily and should NOT be overly used. ASL has been abused way too much!
You know lots of kids still get speech therapy… that’s where SimCom comes in – if the school allows signing, that is.
But problem is that they are NOT allowed to use ASL afterwards. Sigh.
Hearing kids are allowed to learn French, Spanish in school and their English speaking is NOT affected at all.
Umph.
Sorry if that seemed like off the point…but it is related in my perspective.
Keep up with the creativity – love it!! 🙂
I’m a strong proponent that deaf kids should be formally taught ASL grammar, syntax, etc. (that means really classes of ASL linguistics in middle school!) Of course, that means we need to make ASL more standardized. Only after that do we begin to teach English.
Sorry so late post, I overlooked this vlog. Now it makes sense of your original vlog! HAHA. Good points. Good job and video switching style too.
I really can\’t read any comments because of dark fonts. Can you increase brightness of fonts? Thanks and keep vlogging! – Ron –
Ron,
I tried to change to different color font in Word Press. So, I probably will have to find HTML script to replace it.
Sorry about that.
